Kaieteur News- A 50-year-old labourer was on Wednesday sentenced to six months in prison for stealing a cell phone when he appeared at the Suddie Magistrates’ Court.
Maniram Singh called ‘Gabla’ of Bounty Hall Essequibo Coast is accused of stealing a cellphone valued at $180,000 belonging to Parsram Singh. The incident occurred on March 10, 2025 at Long Xin Supermarket Richmond, Essequibo Coast.
Singh appeared before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke who read the charge to him. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to six months of imprisonment.
