Kaieteur News- The Ministry of Education will be refurbishing sections of the Charlestown Secondary School to ensure that the students and teachers are properly accommodated.
Bids were opened for the project at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) office recently.
According to NPTAB, the ministry is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate the Home Economics Room/ Storeroom with works estimated to cost $13.2 million, the staff room (Top Flat) at an estimated cost of $12.9 million, the staff room (Math Room) for $8.6 million and the Main Staff room for $14 million. A total account of the engineer’s estimates revealed that $49,919,205 will be expended to undertake these works.
