Kaieteur News- Social media sensation and beloved Trinidadian content creator “Certified Sampson” is set to make his first official tour of Guyana this May, in a visit that promises to blend entertainment with tourism promotion and business development.
The announcement, made on March 12th by Xperiences in collaboration with the Guyana Tourism Authority, has already generated significant buzz on social media platforms where thousands of Guyanese fans have followed Sampson’s rise to Caribbean stardom.
“We are thrilled to welcome Certified Sampson to Guyana. His visit is not just about entertainment but also about fostering cultural and business connections,” said Matthew Gaul, representative of Xperiences. “This is an incredible opportunity to showcase Guyana’s tourism potential and business-friendly environment.”
Certified Sampson, known for his distinctive character-based comedy skits featuring beloved personalities such as “Ezekiel” and “Screws,” has garnered a substantial following throughout the Caribbean with content that authentically captures the nuances of Caribbean culture and humor.
His Guyana tour will take him beyond traditional performance venues to include visits to major landmarks across the country. From the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the vibrant streets of Georgetown, Sampson’s journey will showcase Guyana’s natural beauty and cultural heritage to his substantial online audience.
“I can’t wait to visit Guyana! I’ve heard so much about the incredible people, the food, and the energy of the place. I’m looking forward to experiencing it all firsthand and seeing what opportunities exist to grow something special here,” said Certified Sampson in a statement.
What sets this visit apart from typical celebrity tours is Sampson’s expressed interest in exploring business opportunities in Guyana. As part of his visit, he will meet with business support organizations and key stakeholders to discuss potential investments and collaborations within the local creative and entertainment industries.
This business focus aligns with Guyana’s growing reputation as an emerging hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in the Caribbean region. Industry analysts suggest that partnerships between established Caribbean content creators and Guyanese businesses could help accelerate the development of the local creative economy.
The tour will also include a special event organised specifically for local content creators and creatives. This networking opportunity will provide a platform for collaboration and discussions on the future of digital content, creative entrepreneurship, and entertainment in the region.
More details of his visit will be released in the coming weeks.
