Kaieteur Sports- Herstelling A were crowned champions of the East Bank Demerara Cricket Association (EBDCA) /SPL T10 tournament which concluded on Sunday.
Herstelling A beat Demolition by three wickets in the final at Farm.
Demolition were off to a flyer following their insertion as they raced to 50 without loss in just three overs. However, Herstelling A managed to apply the brakes on the scoring as Demolition were restricted to 100/5. Skipper Damion Vantull slammed seven fours and two sixes in a top score of 49, while Sanjay Algoo made 28 with two fours and two sixes.
Bowling for herstelling A, Rickey Sargeant claimed 3-12 off two overs while Anand Bharat and Beepaul Bandoo had one each.
Herstelling A in reply scored 104/7 in 9.3 overs.
Malcom Hubbard clobbered two fours and four sixes in a cameo 36 , while Sagar Hatiramani made 21 with one four and two sixes and Ricky Sargeant 17.
Bowling for Demolition , Vantull took 2-6, J. Ferrel 2-15 and Leon Swammy 2-26.
Earlier, Herstelling A beat Uprising by 31 runs in their semi final match up.
Herstelling A made 123/7, batting first.
Rickey Sargeant scored 45 from 15 balls with two fours and five sixes, while Vivian Beckles made 26, Ricardo Adams and Richie Looknauth 14 each.
Bowling for Uprising , Laurel Parks grabbed 4-13 including a hat- trick.
In reply, Uprising were limited to 92/5. M. Parks struck 46 , Adrian Hinds 16 and Alphius Bookie 12. Bowling for herstelling A, Beepaul Bandoo had 2-3.
Demolition beat North Soesdyke in the second semi final.
