Concrete pole crushes GPL worker’s leg

Kaieteur News – An employee of the Guyana Power and Light Inc. had to be rushed to a private hospital on Thursday morning after a concrete utility pole fell and crushed his right leg at Foulis, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
The employee and other co-workers were working at the location when he fell into a hole dug to install the pole. It is unclear what happened next but according to reports, the pole fell and crushed his leg. His co-workers and public-spirited citizens assisted in removing the pole from off his leg.
