Football and softball cricket to be featured
Kaieteur Sports – Horserace fans and other sports lovers will be in for a treat come Sunday 22nd October 2023.
The occasion will be a Gymkhana, horserace and fun day event organised by the Club in collaboration with friends of Rising Sun and Banks DIH limited. The venue is the Rising Sun Turf Club, West Coast Berbice.
The day’s activity will be free of cost and a large crowd is expected to be on hand.
There will be a number of horserace events on the day. The feature races will be for animals classified two year old, one for L class animals and the J class match up with sizable winnings including trophies available.
There will a football competition which is expected to bring the best football players in action as well as a softball cricket competition. A number of novelty events will also be held including the greasy pole and buns eating contest.
Admission, entry and parking is free for everything and a large crowd is expected to be on hand.
