Dear Editor,
The post-match presentation where it was seen the TKR players removing their runner up medals, immediately after receipt, was disappointing, unsportmanlike and it could be perceived as a collective show of rudeness to our President who placed the medals around their necks.
The act commenced with the captain, who immediately took off his medal after receiving, as he went to speak with Darren Ganga, who was performing MC post-match presentation duties.
All players simply followed.
There are protocols to be followed, win or lose. TKR’s display depicted a sore loser attitude for the four times winner, as though they were protesting their loss.
Sincerely,
Shamshun Mohamed
