Kaieteur Sports – HL Furniture of Panama has thrown its support behind the Georgetown Softball Cricket League Inc for the hosting of the Prime Minister’s T20 Cup which is set for September 29 to October 1.
Mahendra Hardyal, CEO of Regal Stationery and Computer Centre, accepts the cheque of behalf of GSCL Inc from a representative of HL Furniture of Panama.
Mahendra Hardyal CEO of Regal Stationery and Computer Centre, which is a local distributor of HL Furniture, accepted the cheque of behalf of the GSCL Inc at a simple ceremony held recently in Panama. Hardyal thanked the entity for their support.
The tournament is being held in collaboration with the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports with over $2 Million up for grabs and is set to be contested at several venues.
Guyana’s premier Softball tournament will be played in the Male All Stars (players of any age), Masters (over 40), Legends (over 50) and female All Stars (players of any age) categories.
Regal are the defending Champions of the Masters and Legends while Ariel Knight Riders won in the last Male All Stars and 4R Lions will defend their title in the Female All Stars segment.
The tournament has also attracted teams from North America and will conclude at DCC under lights.
All of the games will be played with Trophy Stall branded balls and for the first time live steaming of the finals day will be done by FL Sport and can be followed on the GSCL’s Facebook page, FL Facebook page, FL You Tube Channel and www.flsport.gy.
