Kaieteur News – The 2023 Guyana Football Federation (GFF) KFC Elite League Season Five continued with an exhilarating double-header on Thursday at the prestigious GFF National Training Centre in Providence. Football enthusiasts were treated to a thrilling display of skill, teamwork, and determination as the Guyana Police Force (GPF) Football Club clashed with Ann’s Grove FC, followed by an electrifying encounter between Western Tigers FC and Fruta Conquerors FC.
In the first match, the GPF Football Club demonstrated their prowess on the pitch, overpowering Ann’s Grove FC with an impressive 6-1 victory. The GPF FC strikers were in top form, leaving no room for doubt about their intentions.
Nicholas McArthur, a force to be reckoned with, unleashed his brilliance, netting a superb hat-trick in the 19th, 31st, and 49th minutes, setting the tone for a dominant performance. Keswick Fraser showcased his finesse, adding another goal to GPF’s tally at the 75th minute, followed by Jemaine Junor at the 78th minute and Junior Redmon at the 82nd minute, leaving Ann’s Grove FC defense in disarray. The young Fruta Conquerors side started with a bang, seizing an early advantage with Dean Dre Unton goal in the 18th minute. However, their joy was short-lived as the Tigers roared back with an extraordinary display of skill and resilience.
The Tigers’ offensive juggernaut, Michael Oie, unleashed his prowess, scoring a brace with goals at the 21st and 90th minutes, leaving the crowd in awe of his sheer talent. Randolph Wagner, a true maestro, joined the spectacle, finding the back of the net twice at the 41st and 49th minutes, cementing the Tigers’ dominance. Not to be outdone, Daniel Moshette displayed his skills, adding another goal at the 71st minute, securing an emphatic 5-1 victory over the Conquerors.
