Dem Boys Seh…
Kaieteur News – Deh Prezzie calling pon poultry producers fuh “ramp up” production, but wah he nah know is dat Guyanese people don’t fancy no frozen chicken! We love we chicken plucked and fresh, like how we pluck out we worries when we lime by de seawall.
Eh bai, it look like deh Prezzie deh living in a different Guyana. He gat he head in de clouds like one kite soaring high, while we deh here pon de ground, struggling fuh afford a fresh piece ah chicken fuh cook we Sunday dinner.
Freezing dem chicken is like according dem state funeral. We nah want no chicken pon ice like it bin playing cricket in Alaska. We want de chicken to still have some life in it, not like how dem politicians does drain de life out of we country. Imagine if we gat dis glut ah chicken, wah deh Prezzie gan do?
He gan stick all dem chickens in cold storage like dem walking dead waiting fuh resurrection. Maybe deh man think we Guyanese gan wake up one morning and say, “Hey, let we go buy some frozen chicken today and celebrate!” Nah bai, dat gan neva happen.
If deh Prezzie really want fuh help we, he should be thinking bout helping we mek fresh chicken more affordable and accessible. Me nah want see no chicken inna cold storage, me want fuh see it inna de market, all plucked and ready fuh me pot.
Maybe instead ah ramping up production, deh Prezzie should ramp up he understanding of local tastes. We Guyanese people gat we own style, we own swag. We like we food fresh and we like we chicken freshly plucked. So, Prezzie, hear wah dem boys seh: put we fresh chicken back pon we plates, and maybe, just maybe, we gan feel like deh government actually understand we concerns.
Talk half. Leff half.
