Kaieteur News – An 18-year-old boy is now in police custody after he was found with a firearm. The Guyana Police Force (GPF) reported that the boy was arrested last Friday. It was stated that between 12:00hrs and 12:30hrs a party of policemen on patrol duty went to Woolford Avenue in the vicinity of Camp Street when they noticed the teen acting in a suspicious manner.
A search on his person revealed a black metal object suspected to be a firearm with serial number and a magazine found in a haversack he was carrying. He was told of the offence committed and cautioned and he replied, “Alex give me this gun officer”.
