Bartica Easter Regatta 2023 ‘We Outside’
Over the decades, it has become one of the most anticipated events on the Easter calendar of activities in Guyana, and this year, it is anticipated to be one of the biggest and most colourful ever.
So says the Regional Chairman of Region Number 7, Kenneth Williams, who received a solid financial boost towards the successful hosting of the event from the BK International Group of Companies.
Williams, who chairs the Organising Committee said that it is always a challenge to garner adequate finances for hosting the multi-event extravaganza which sees a number of sporting events and other activities culminating with the highly anticipated power boat races on Easter Sunday and Monday.
“We are therefore very pleased to have BK Int. Group of Companies on board with us once again
as we seek to make this year’s event, the most memorable. We are hosting it under the theme, ‘We Outside’ and this is of course after the fact that covid-19 took a heavy toll on the event. However, we are committed to hosting the biggest Easter Regatta of them all, and corporate, as well as governmental and other support, is critical towards attaining this goal.”
Mr. Kyle Tiwari, Chief Executive Officer of the BK Int. Group of Companies who made the presentation to Williams, in a brief comment shared that the company has a proud track record of partnering with the organisers of the Easter Regatta over the years, and this year would be no different.
“We are committed to fulfilling our role as a corporate partner in aiding the development of our people through sports and other productive activities. We wish the organisers and all who would participate in this huge activity the best.”
This year’s Easter Regatta would be hosted from April 8th to 10th in Bartica.
