Feb 09, 2023 Letters
Dear Editor,
Over one week ago, Commissioner Rohee sought to respond to my letter of January 22, 2023. In that letter, I exposed the contrived acts that that PPP and their cohorts at GECOM have being perpetrating in their concerted effort to take control of GECOM in the manner in which they have gone about trying to dominate and control every aspect of life in Guyana.
Rohee in his response claimed my repudiation of his attempt to hoodwink the public about the legitimacy of the creation and filling of a position at GECOM is “not only misinformed, but woefully misplaced”. The Chairperson has since decided to rescind both the creation and the appointment. Of course, in typical Rohee style no evidence was provided, and for that I commend him since no evidence is available and he seemed not to wish to descend to the tactics of backbencher Kumar, who in a recent letter unsuccessfully resorted to the art of fiction in his attempt to discredit me. He attempted to conjure metaphors as the basis of discrediting me with the hope of distracting the public`s attention from my cogent exposure of the scheme that is being pursued by him and his ilk at GECOM. This delayed response is as a result of the time and effort that it took me trying to make sense out of what eventually I could only describe as a nonsensical response. Here are the reasons for that conclusion.
Yours truly,
Vincent Alexander
GECOM Commissioner
