Kaieteur News – Major League Soccer (MLS) club, Sporting Kansas City, announced that they’re in talks with Guyana’s Curtez Kellman that would see him returning to the club to be part of their 2023 roster.
Last Monday, Sporting Kansas City and its MLS Next Pro outfit announced several rosters moves ahead of the 2023 season.
Kellman only recently returned to Guyana after a stellar showing with the club in the MLS Next Pro League.
The 24-year-old Kellman had an exceptional collegiate career with Eastern Florida State College and Daytona State College, where he made the All-American selection each season for his performances in the midfield. He was also the team’s captain.
Though having outstanding performances at College and club levels, Kellman has only made one appearance for the Golden Jaguars (Guyana’s National team), dating back to 2017 in Indonesia under Coach Wayne Dover.
Locally, Kellman came through the school’s football system with Chase Academy, and also suited up for the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) and Western Tigers. (Rawle Toney)
