Dear Editor,
Democracy is alive and strong in Kenya with the Chief Justice rejecting the challenge to the recent election results and upholding the declaration of William Ruto as President-elect.
Raila Odinga lost the election and must take his ‘licks like a man’ (borrowing that famous phrase).
The Court was harsh against lawyers presenting ‘misleading or fabricated evidence’ which proved to be ‘hot air’ and sent the court on a ‘wild goose chase’ (BBC September 5). Sounds familiar…as in a report on another election the wild claims were similarly rebuked and rejected as a ‘fishing expedition’.
Kenya has won!
