Kaieteur News – On Saturday, the Ministry of Health reported that from approximately 365 COVID-19 tests that were conducted during the last assessed 24-hour period, a total of 47 new cases were recorded.
The new infections have now brought the total number of confirmed cases to 69,792. The new cases were detected in Region Four – 21, Region Three – 10, Region 10 – seven, Region Nine – five, and Regions One and Two – two each.
The Ministry via its daily dashboard reported that one person is still in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 23 are in institutional isolation, 623 are in home isolation and three are in institutional quarantined.
To date, a total of 67,874 persons have recovered from the virus.
