– company to continue massive roll out of Fibre to new communities
Kaieteur News – GTT has collaborated with local technology experts, Starr Computers, to execute the concept of a smart home at this year’s Building Expo.
Patrons, according to a GTT release, will get the opportunity to experience the technological possibilities of home improvement when leveraging the power and speed of GTT’s Fibre high-speed internet.
“Today, the internet is an essential part of our lives and many of our home devices could be set up to provide a smart solution that makes life easier. Having a fast and reliable connection gives homeowners the ability to efficiently set up and run smart devices within their homes, seamlessly. It saves time, improves security and even helps to conserve energy,” said Chief Operations Officer of GTT’s Home Solutions and Fixed Networks, Eshwar Thakurdin.
Among some of the smart technology to be featured by Starrs are alarms, lighting, doorbells and a robotic vacuuming system, all connected to GTT’s super speed fibre internet. GTT will be demonstrating its smart Wi-Fi Mesh solution, which features parental control, supervised guess access, motion detection and adaptive Wi-Fi.
The expo, according to GTT, comes at a time when its Home Solutions is on its next massive wave of roll out of its Fibre product to several new communities, set to bring access to 20,000 homes before the end of this year.
GTT is a full-service provider with a range of residential, commercial and mobile services, including its financial partner Mobile Money Guyana (mmg+).
Patrons at the expo, slated for July 22 – 24 at the Providence, East Bank Demerara National Stadium, will be given chances to win cash and other prizes, and participate in promotions when they sign up for GTT Fibre + Voice. Mobile customers can also benefit from the SIM-Swap promotion that will allow them to have a better, faster mobile experience wherever they are.
Businesses in Guyana will also benefit from solutions engineered by the company’s Business Solutions Unit. This team offers a plethora of special packages to SMB’s and commercial customers; including the conneX Inernet & Voice bundle and targeted packages for multi-dwelling unit spaces such as apartments and large commercial and industrial buildings.
In collaboration with sister company, Fireminds, GTT’s Business Solutions will also showcase its 21st century services that cater specifically to the distinct needs of businesses.
The public is advised to continue to follow GTT on its social platforms for frequent updates.
