Dear Editor,
With the deteriorating Indian Guyanese and African Guyanese relationship in Guyana, I asked myself if pushing for a united front is viable or even wanted in Guyana?
Should we go down the road of PARTITION, thereby saving us a lot of unnecessary trauma?
It is clear that when relationships are not working that separation is the best option rather than forcing people to live together.
Some would argue that because we are so mixed up, PARTITION is not viable which is erroneous as we are continually losing parts of our families through migration anyway.
If we cannot grow together then I suggest we look at going our separate ways.
We do not necessarily need to go the PARTITION route. It is just that we have had over 50 years of fighting each other rather than working together for mutual benefits.
We can work together for mutual benefits; it is just that the will is not there and we don’t want it.
Some prefer to play the “who pon top” game and “the blame” game.
Yours faithfully,
Sean Ori
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
