– Wayne scores seven in FC’s 14 – 0 victory
The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Women’s Developmental League continues today with two scheduled fixtures to at St. Cuthbert’s Mission and in Bartica.
Over at St. Cuthbert’s Mission, the action gets underway at 15:00 hrs as the home team host the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Women while in Bartica the home side’s All Stars team tackles the best Essequibo has to offer from 20:00 hrs.
On Monday the matches continue with a double header billed for the GFF National Training Centre in Providence.
In the opening match, St. Cuthbert’s Mission Women will tackle Orealla Falcons from 13:00 hrs then the day wraps up with a match between New Amsterdam United and Santos, from 15:00 hrs.
Thursday last, the Women competed at Providence with Fruta Conquerors destroying Foxy Ladies, 14 – 0.
Nikita Wayne led the charge for the victorious side with an impressive seven goals, while Sandra Johnson supported firmly with five goals of her own.
A goal each was recorded by Shania Thornhill and Angelino Pierre in the monumental win that saw Foxy Ladies down by nine at the half.
Meanwhile, after Monday’s fixtures the Tournament continues on Thursday at the Leonora Track and Field Facility with a triple header that commences at 16:00 hrs.
