Dear Editor,
I do believe in order for the layman to understand the nuances of the law a full explanation is needed and warranted as to the discontinuation of the charge against the lawyer on serious allegations.
To discontinue because the law allows that latitude does nothing to allay fears that justice might not be served and might be denied.
It has to be queried a private criminal charge was instituted so how can it be discontinued by the public prosecutor? I am ignorant of the law and its workings.
No disrespect is meant or should be so construed to the holder of this public office.
