Dear Editor,
Kaieteur News – Buying from your own may sound nice to some people, but unless they are just talking about black pudding or plantain chips, the practicality of doing so is undoable. Tell me if those proposing to buy from your own actually do so themselves.
As an example, when they want to travel, do they buy from their own? What about things like electricity, water, telecommunication services? How exactly do you go about buying from your own? How about cars? Do the car dealers buy from their own? Don’t let me get started on computers and mobile phones.
What about renting houses? Do you then rent to your own? Are you seriously suggesting that Guyanese put up signs saying, “No Indians”, “no Africans”, “no Amerindians”, etc. when renting their house?
Yours faithfully,
Sean Ori
