Kaieteur News – The pandemic has put a damper on many activities and opportunities with a cap on various operations across the world.
With huge job losses and a general contraction of global economies, Guyana is still holding its own, with persons pivoting where possible, others being innovative and stepping outside their comfort zones while companies are still trying to be philanthropic and do what they can to enliven the spirit of their customers.
To this end, Guyana Beverages Inc (GBI), a subsidiary of regional beverage manufacturer, SM Jaleel and Company Limited, well known for their continual engagement of consumers has announced a mega campaign giving away a whopping $2M in cash and prizes over the coming weeks.
This campaign, dubbed ‘Turbo Charge My Ride,’ comes at the most opportune time, according to the company, since consumers are preparing for the festive season.
The campaign which kicked off in October last and will run right up to December 17, will see a total of seven draws including four grand draws.
Prizes include a Honda CBR 250 Super Bike, Samsung S20 Ultra Phone, Panasonic Audio Sound System and Samsung 55” TV.
Samuel Arjoon, General Manager of Guyana Beverages Inc, says that the company understands the restrictions many families are facing now, so this is a way for Turbo to brighten their Christmas.
“Believe it or not Christmas is upon us, and we are happy to extend these giveaways to our very loyal customers. With $2M in cash and prizes to be won, we are excited and encouraging our customers to get involved to take full advantage,” Arjoon said.
Explaining the promotion, Arjoon noted that “It’s quite simple actually. Purchase two bottles of Turbo energy drink, look for the code printed on the bottle (starting with 786), then send us your name, cell number and the eight digit code via Whatsapp (684-8390) or via website link https://woobox.com/otuey9.”
According to an optimistic Arjoon, “we are going to be making a lot of people happy for the next nine weeks. We are really ecstatic about this promotion.”
The winners will be selected weekly over the course of the nine weeks, and will be picked from a random draw, pooled with all valid weekly entries from Whatsapp and via online.
