Kaieteur News – Jamie Mac Donald and Fitness Express has maintained its support of powerlifting as it is the main sponsor for tomorrow’s Raw National Powerlifting Championships which is set to take place at the Life Gym, Railway Embankment, Lusignan, East Coast Demerara.
In handing over the cheque to Guyana Amateur Power Lifting Federation (GAPLF) President, Gordon Spencer, McDonald said that his company is pleased to be continuing their partnership with the sport and is happy that the athletes are being afforded another opportunity to showcase their skills.
McDonald also pointed out that it is heartening to see the level of commitment being shown by the athletes despite the challenges being brought on by the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. He wished the Federation and athletes the best for tomorrow whilst also stating that the respective Overall Male and Female winners will be rewarded with supplement hampers compliments of Fitness Express.
Spencer expressed thanks to McDonald and Fitness Express for their continued commitment to the sport and its development.
Meanwhile, the first lift will leave the platform at 09:00hrs while the weigh in and equipment check will be done during 07:00 – 08:30hrs. The Federation is reminding that all National Covid-19 protocols would be enforced.
