Dear Editor,
On September 21, the world celebrates The International Day of Peace by observing 24 hours of nonviolence. Our beautiful homeland deserves at least 24 hours rest from violent crime and all acts of violence on that day. May it also provide an opportunity for all those in conflict to take the time to reflect on what is most important in life while enjoying the gift of breath. The pandemic has surrounded us all by death, and has reminded many of how quickly death can become a part of daily life. Peace should not be only for those laid to rest, but also a part of the life of the living. Giving us all the space and calm to enjoy the gift of life that we have been given.
From our families to yours we wish you a peaceful International Day of Peace. May it be the beginning of many such peaceful occasions?
Warm regards,
Mr. Jamil Changlee
