Dear Editor,
On the day of his funeral came the claim that the late Haitian President is unworthy of our country’s commendation. This is uncalled for. Whether right or wrong, the late president was a Caribbean man, a member of our Caricom nations. It would be a huge slight were a member state to take an anti-stand. I do believe honouring the fallen leader of our tiny group of nations is proper and appropriate and should not be deprecated.
