Dear Editor,
Kaieteur News – Since January of this year, I have engaged the Guyana Power & Light (GPL) to get rid of this huge swarm of wasps on the GPL power line, almost directly above the entrance/exit to my home. Sad to say GPL has not responded positively. A text response I received said, “GPL does not deal with such issues even though it may be on our pole”. Another employee suggested I should spray the nest with BAYGON. My attempts to reach a supervisor and even to obtain the contact information of the GPL, Chief Executive Officer were all futile. On Wednesday, June 30, 2021, I sent a registered letter to the CEO, GPL on the matter. I have not received a response to date. The swarm of wasps already attacked my dogs. I fear for the safety and health of persons entering/exiting my yard. I hope this public appeal through your media will move GPL into action.
Yours truly,
Abraham David
