Kaieteur News- Dem boys does know when money and hamper sharing. All of dem people does come out of dem house like fine ants and either sit down under big tent or line up fuh collect dem small freck or hamper.
If de guvment decide fuh share out a lil G$15,000 at de Umana Yana, de line gan be from there to Suriname.
But if yuh tell dem same people dem must come out and tell dem politician and oil companies how dem must share out $1M per family, dem gan ask yuh if yuh is a PPP or PNC.
Dat is how we does roll in Guyana. We sitting down and listening to dem politicians talk nonsense fuh hours just so dat we can collect a lil small change or hamper. But when it comes to fighting fuh we fair share of we wealth, de people nah even coming out to dem public consultation.
Last Friday dem bin gat a public meeting on de gas-to-shore project. Only a handful of dem people tun up. A small group bin protest outside. God Bless dem! At least dem fighting fuh we wealth. But what happen to all dem wah prefer fuh line up fuh two jill but nah want stand up fuh de millions wah dem oil company robbing dem.
Dem boys remember also how dem nurses bin protest over some lil $5,000 risk allowance. But if dem fight fuh we fair share of we oil wealth, dem bin nah gat to protest anymore. Dem salary would double.
One of dem union want to know when public servants’ salary gan increase. Dem want negotiations. Dem boys tell dem dat de increase gan pay Christmas time, as usual. And dem workers prefer it dat way.
But dem unions nah call pon dem politicians fuh negotiate a new oil agreement.
Talk half and wait fuh yuh five percent increase at Christmas!
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
