DEAR EDITOR,
I write this letter hoping that it highlights this problem and gets the necessary attention. Sadly, unless something reaches the press, social media, or a friend in authority nothing gets done until something drastic happens.
Over the past few weeks’ potholes have been developing on the dumpsite road. It is at a stage now where lengthy traffic backup takes place just because road users have to navigate a few potholes. It is so bad that many users divert through adjoining streets in Eccles and the Industrial site, which, in turn, will intensify damage to those roads since they were not built for the volume and size of vehicles flowing through them.
I also observed as drivers navigate the holes, they tend to speed more to catch up for lost time. This is understandable since most people trying to get to work have to go through the East Bank corridor, which is another nightmare to traverse.
Looking forward to this situation being addressed.
Yours truly,
Concerned resident
