Kaieteur News – Caribbean International Distributors Inc (CIDI) under their Blue Life Water brand has thrown their support behind the Georgetown Softball Cricket League Inc. for the staging of the inaugural President’s Softball Cup which is set for March 5-7.
The entity will be supplying water for the participating teams throughout the competition. This deal was announced at the entity’s Mc Doom location yesterday where its Finance Manager Satesh Naraine said they are happy to be part of the competition and pledged their continued support. GSCL Inc President Ian John thanked the entity for their support and said the competition is expected to be keenly contested.
The tournament will be played in three categories; Open, O-40 and O-50 and teams will battle for a first prize of $500,000 in each category, while the runners up will collect $100,000. The three-day tournament is organized jointly by the Honourable Counsel of Guyana to Florida, Ramzan Roshanalli.
