Kaieteur News – Maria’s Pleasure ‘A’ defeated Maria’s Pleasure ‘B’ by 8 runs when the teams collided in the female category of the Factory Price Softball one-day competition which was held on Tuesday last at Maria’s Pleasure Cricket Ground.
Batting first, Maria’s Pleasure ‘A’ managed 39 for five off their allocation of 20 balls. Estell Lewis made 15 as Ashley Dharry took two wickets. Maria’s Pleasure ‘B’ responded with 31 for six.
Subanie Sahadeo made 14 while Natasha Ramdeo and Roshanie Ramdeo took one wicket each. Essequibo Coast overcame East Coast by one run in the male final.
