Kaieteur News – Mahendra Harry with a gross of 78 HC (handicap) 14 net 64 emerged champion of the Agro Services and Amazon Planx golf tournament which was contested on Sunday.
The tournament attracted 32 players and was played under strict COVID-19 guidelines; it was contested in the medal play format. Anand Persaud placed second with gross 92Hc 26 net 66, while Rakesh Harry gross 84 Hc 13 net 71 was third and Guillermo Escaraga placed fourth with 88 Hc17 net 71. The Lowest gross went to Mahendra Harry, the Nearest to pin Mike Mangal and the Longest Drive winner was Tom Watkins.
Secretary of the Lusignan Golf Club (LGC), Chet Bowling urged more companies to lend support to the club. He added that next Saturday’s tournament is being sponsored by Suresh JagMohan Construction Services.
President of the Lusignan Golf Club Patanjilee Persaud also thanked the sponsors and players for their continued support.
