Kaieteur News – The Ministry of Health yesterday reported another COVID-19 fatality. This time, it was a 71-year-old man who was residing in Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica). According to information released by the Ministry, he died while receiving treatment at a medical facility.
The deceased has been listed as the country’s 187th COVID-19 fatality. His death was not reflected in the daily dashboard update.
The Ministry also revealed one new case, which has increased the total number of cases to 8,232.
The dashboard also shows that seven patients are in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit, 26 in institutional quarantine, 45 in institutional isolation and 595 in home isolation. Additionally, a total of 7,399 persons have recovered to date.
