Kaieteur News – Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Charles Ramson Jr on a recent visit to East Berbice has pledged to fulfill promises made.
The Minister and his team, which included Popular Sports Administrator and organizer Kashif Muhammad, toured a number of communities throughout the region where he inspected a number of heritage sites and sports grounds. During the visit he pledged to fulfill a number of the promises including the enhancement of the heritage sites and fixing of a number of Sports grounds in the region.
At the Indian Arrival Monument site, he indicated that more seats and play grounds will be added so as to attract more families.
He also indicated that “free wifi” will be added to the location, while one of the buildings at the location will be transformed into a culture center so that culture activities could be staged.
He also visited the Central Police Station with Commander of Region Six, Superintendent Jairam Ramlakhan, where the police are developing a recreational facility. (Samuel Whyte)
