Kaieteur News – A Brazilian man’s head was crushed on Wednesday by a tractor at Central Barmita Village, North West District (NWD), Region One.
The dead man has since been identified only as “Peu” of Barama Line, Barmita.
The fatal incident took place at around 17:30 hrs. According to a police report, the man was travelling as a passenger on the tractor. Investigators reported that the tractor was ascending a hill at Barmita when it fell into a pot hole and Peu reportedly fell out – the tractor rolled backwards and ran over his head, crushing it.
He was picked up and taken the community’s health center, where he was officially pronounced dead by a medic on duty.
