DEAR EDITOR,
In response to Ryan Khan’s proposal of a Government funded dormitory at QC, I think it is a bad idea.
Firstly, there will have to be two dorms one for boys and one for girls with a lot of distance between them. Secondly, who will provide meals for the students? Thirdly, there will have to be a dining hall with a kitchen to cook their meals. Fourthly, who will monitor their behaviour as they grow older especially when it becomes dark? I am talking about soon to be teenagers. There will have to be a female dean for the girls’ dormitory and a male dean for the boys’ dormitory.
President’s College is some distance from the main road and already has the facility to accommodate older students who can monitor the young ones.
Having attended a SDA College/School, I am familiar with such things.
Yours truly,
Gloria Holder
