It now seems what the best of those, who wish Guyana well, can do at this difficult time is to acknowledge the reality of the current political situation, work towards national reconciliation and demand that justice, fairness and equality prevail in this demographically small but strategically significant country. Henceforth, Guyana must aim to be a Cooperative Republic in both name and nature. Failure to strive steadfastly towards these goals could result in catastrophic civil unrest. Fortunately however, hope springs eternal…“One People, One Nation, One Destiny.”
