Led by 15 games from Sandra Nurse and 14 games Samantha Vickery, Turning Point emerged victorious with 80 games when the final of the Pre Caricom day dominoes tournament was contested recently at R and R Sports Club, Meadowbrook.
Spartons took the runner up spot after chalking 73 games with Gordon Flatts scoring 17 and Andrew Hope 15. Executive finished in third position on 56 games; Selwyn Prescott and Arthur Cross scored 16 and 15 respectively.
Executive marked 75 games to win the semi final encounter with Prescott and Rawl Peters making 15 games apiece. Turning Point and Big Boss made 70 games apiece, but Turning Point earned their berth in the final with more fours after both teams were tied on the same number of sixes and fives.
June Watts and Sandra Denny scored 17 and 15 games in that order for Turning Point while Lourine Reid made 14 for Big Boss. The winning team received a trophy and $70,000, runner up a trophy and $35,000 and third place a trophy and $20,000.
The competition was sponsored by Trophy Stall, Ryan Boodhoo and Hits and Jams.
