DEAR EDITOR,
It was applauded when certain decisions by the NCTF concerning the recount and observers coming to observe the process were overturned and varied without coercion or intimidation.
Now the same consideration cannot be extended to the Carter Centre even with all the appeals, for the team to return to complete its work which was paused due to circumstances not of its making.
The burning question is why? Why was the invitation and by extension accreditation withdrawn?…cancelled?…revoked?…rescinded?… to an internationally recognized organization which has been in the forefront of democracy here and elsewhere.
This definitely does not augur well and speculation will abound.
