DEAR EDITOR,
I write this letter to garner awareness on how to battle this disparaging situation of persons littering along the seawall area. The aesthetic of this naturally beautiful area has been seriously degraded by constant littering. To avoid littering from continuing, stricter measures must be implemented and enforced. I suggest that cameras and patrol officers be dispatched along the seawall area and this can deter persons from disposing of their garbage in that manner. Further, harsher penalties can be implemented to prevent individuals from littering.
Until this situation improves due to better habits by citizens, more persons to remove litter can be organised to keep the seawall clean and more bins placed along the area.
I hope this letter will help in the awareness of littering in our country and specifically along the seawall area as littering affects the environment. Littering also adds to an economic loss as tourist will not come to a garbage infested city or country. Long live the Garden City.
Yours sincerely,
Kaden Conway
