The Christrianburg Wismar Secondary ‘Multi’ School is the recipient of a brand new, Spalding adjustable, shatter proof, regulation size all weather
basketball backboard. The presentation was held last Thursday at the CWSS compound, where receiving the equipment from President of the Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) Lawrence Simon, was Ronon Stephens, teacher and an assistant basketball coach for the school.
President of the Linden Amateur Basketball Association Mr. Lawrence Simon made the presentation on behalf of the LABA, Brusche’s Basketball Foundation and Think Green Organisation.
Simon said, “This will enhance basketball in the school and to support the clinic that we propose to launch soon to basketball within the secondary schools.”
According to Simon, they will be engaging the Ministry of Education to launch the programme which will target the secondary schools across Linden and as resources are received other schools will benefit.
