The Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) racing season speeds off today at the South Dakota Circuit, Timehri with the first round of the Endurance Championship.
Admission is free for all fans who will see in participation some seasoned speedsters the likes of Motilall Deodass, lap record holder Rameez Mohamed, Shan Seejattan, Dawolu Harper, Harold Hopkinson, Keithe Evelyn, Sean Bacchus, Raymond Seebarran and Shairza Roshandin among others that will be going head to head in three hours of endurance racing.
Defending Champions, Team Wreckers’ duo of Adrian Fernandes and Annand Ramchand will have dig deep if they are to maintain their multiple-year dominance with many of the competitors sending stern warnings to the champions.
The drivers will also be using this meet to gauge their machines’ performance ahead of the GMRSC’s National Race of Champions (NROC) circuit meet that is scheduled for February 16th.Following the NROC meet the drag championship boosts off on March 15 with round one.
Circuit racing returns in July on the 5th with August 16th being the highly anticipated international drag racing meet.
Round two of the Endurance Championship is set for September 13 with the last round of Drag racing is set for October 4th.
The highly anticipated International Circuit-racing event is set for November 8.
