After seizing dozens of expired goods from vendors at the Stabroek market Last Tuesday, City hall has scheduled market constables to carry out more seizures until the holiday season is passed.
Kaieteur News understands that although the vendors continue to argue about the shelf life of the products the market constables are ordered to seize goods that have passed their expiration date.
According to a source, this act of seizing goods from market vendors is not a regular one, however due to the upcoming season a lot of expires goods such as sweets and chocolates have appeared on the market place.
And as result, city constables are scheduled to carry out search and seizures every Saturday at the city market with the aim of seizing more expired goods. So that Guyanese can enjoy a healthy holiday.
