The Guyana Islamic Trust youth department hosted an Inter-Jamaat 5-a-side Futsal competition on Sunday last at the National Park Tarmac. Six
teams participated from which the top four teams progressed to the semi finals after the round robin stage.
These were: New Mosque, Bagotsville, Linden, and Guyana Islamic Institute. New Mosque beat the Guyana Islamic Institute to progress to the final, while Linden beat Bagotsville. In the final, New Mosque triumphed over Linden with 7 goals to 1. Bagotsville took the third place trophy with a 2-0 victory over the Guyana Islamic Institute. The Most Valuable player award went to Iram Jilks of Linden, while the award for most goals scored went to Leon (only name provided) of New Mosque.
