Dear Editor,
Thank you for your service to our great nation especially given the personal difficulties and sacrifices you have both made to help correct the many injustices we have faced in the past.
Also, thank you for your steadfast focus and determination in developing some of the underdeveloped areas that were in dire need of attention.
It is also with much distress that I ask of you to please redouble your efforts to ensure the peaceful culmination of our electoral process.
The increased level of violence for minor disputes has increased the alarm within the capital and surrounding areas.
It is becoming the norm in many of our regions and some of our citizens are becoming numb to the severe impact and toll this is having on our society.
May the spirit with which you have guided your family also guide you in helping our nation overcome violence and discord as we approach the tense season of elections.
The wisdom you have gained over the many years is a celebration of your patience and enduring spirit to find a solution to many problems we have faced.
It is with this spirit in mind that I ask you to embark upon the leadership of our nation in the coming months.
Thank you for being a couple which values the peace and tranquility which many desire to maintain in our nation.
Jamil Changlee
