In a release to the media, the King Medas Pansy-Adonis (KMPA) Foundation has expressed thanks to everyone who contributed towards the success of the just concluded Road Rrace and Junior Olympic Game.
The four-day event that concluded at the Lusignan Community Center Ground on the East Coast of Demerara last Sunday saw over 600 athletes participating over the four days and had many great performances inclusive of Kunusasha Medas-King who swept all four events for the Girls 8 & Under category, she won the 1500m, 800m, 400m and the 2K Road Race.
The 6 & Under category saw a marvelous performance by the lads running the 1K event which was full of excitement. The Junior Olympic Games and Road Race featured athletes competing from 6 & Under all the way to Masters with a total of over $2million in cash and prizes doled out to the top and other outstanding performers.
