Travis Bishop banged in a hat-trick to lead Dwayne Sevens to a 4-1 victory over Tucker Sevens in the final of the New Opportunity Corps 7-a-side
football competition which was contested on Sunday last at Onderneeming, Essequibo Coast.
Bishop put his team ahead in the 8th minute, while A. Malic slotted home in the 14th minute to stretch his team’s advantage. Bishop netted his second in the 19th minute before completing his hat-trick in the 21st. Delroy Harns pulled one back for Tucker Sevens in the 30th minute.
Bishop was named the most valuable player with six goals.
