The Guyana Mixed Martial Arts Karate Association (GMMAKA) took seven students to the Guyana International KyokushinKai tournament last Sunday, where they displayed their skills which resulted in success.
The results show: 7-9 years old male white belt division – Sohail Dairam 1st Traditional kata.
10-12 years old male green belt division – Tyrese Benons 1st Kumite
10-12 years old male black belt division – Jaffar Ramnarine 1st in Traditional kata
13-15 years old female green belt division – Beyanka Benons 1st kumite
13-15 years old male brown belt division – Darshan Dairam 1st kumite
13-15 years old male black belt division – Zafar Ramnarine 1st freestyle kata
20-24 male brown belt division – Randolph Chrisen 2nd Traditional kata
25-over male brown belt division – Roman Pollard 1st Traditional kata
Master Lloyd Ramnarine would like to thank all the students who took the time to participate and also encourage them to keep training hard.
The Guyana Mixed Martial Arts Karate Association now turns their attention to their annual inter-club tournament schedule for the 6th October 2019.
