DEAR EDITOR,
I am a frequent reader of Freddie K’s column and most times I think he is right on the money. However, I respectfully submit that the comparison between UK parliamentarian Lee and Charrandas Persaud is most disingenuous because many UK members made their opposition to Brexit known many times beforehand during several debates, while Charrandas was like a snake in the grass.
No one saw that coming, and there is a real possibility that he was compromised. That is not to say that I disagree with his vote, but Freddie, to compare the two gentlemen is not becoming of your analytical and reporting talent.
Your submissions are very important for Guyanese to stay abreast with the situation in our country and with the advent of oil wealth your reporting will be most needed and appreciated.
