On Day Four, Sunday last, at the CAREBACO Junior Under-19 International Badminton Championship which was played at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium in St. Michael Barbados August 15-18, the outstanding Guyanese players won Three of the Five Finals and their performances shows that our preparation and training methods was executed as instructed and planed. The players were very focused and their determination was only to win.
It was a very proud moment for the team when the Guyanese National Anthem was Played three times for the three gold medals captured.
Last Year Champion Priyanna Ramdhani, who was the No. 1 Seeded Player in the Tournament, won Three Gold in the Ladies Singles, Ladies Doubles and Mixed Doubles and was crowned the Triple Champion at the age of 17 years old.
At 16 years old she was also the Under-17 Triple Champion Last Year.
Tyrese Jeffrey won Gold in the Mixed Doubles and Bronze in the Men Doubles.
Akili Haynes won Bronze in the Men Doubles.

Ladies Singles:
Priyanna Ramdhani of Guyana defeated of Imani Mangroe of Suriname in a thrilling three setter: 21-8, 18-21, 21-17
Mixed Doubles:
Priyanna Ramdhani & Tyrese Jeffrey of Guyana defeated Dominick Scantlebury & Sobers Robyn: 21-11, 21-9
Ladies Doubles:
Priyanna Ramdhani of Guyana & Chequeda De Boulet of Trinidad defeated Imani Mangroe & Chaista Soemodipoero of Suriname: 21-18, 21-11
