New York- The Schenectady man convicted of attacking three people in Saratoga Springs last summer was sentenced Friday to 40 years in prison for attempted murder.
Cendno Rahaman attacked the people on Caroline Street while drunk last August.
Jurors decided that the 29-year-old man was trying to kill one of the victims, Jake Ponessi.
Rahaman, whose family comes from Guyana, claimed he heard someone shouting racist slurs at him and his brother before the confrontation. (wnyt.com)
